Weighted Shortest Job First

Weighted Shortest Job First (WSJF) is a prioritization technique used in product management to determine the order in which tasks or features should be completed. It assigns a score to each task based on its value, urgency, effort, and risk. The higher the score, the higher the priority. Think of it like waiting in line at a food truck - you choose the dish that's both delicious and ready quickly. In product management, you want to focus on the tasks that deliver the most value in the shortest amount of time. WSJF helps you make those decisions.
