Velocity

In the context of product management, velocity refers to the speed at which a development team can complete work during a specified period of time, typically measured in sprint cycles. It is an important metric used in Agile methodologies like Scrum to track the team's productivity and forecast project timelines. Think of velocity as the rate at which a car is moving on a highway - the higher the velocity, the faster the progress. However, it's important to note that velocity is not about rushing through tasks but rather about maintaining a consistent and sustainable pace to deliver high-quality work.
